Your device has been set up with a generic password\u00a0“qwerty” – we recommend changing this by following the steps below. You can also create a swipe pattern or register your fingerprint for select models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to “Settings”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select “Lock Screen and Security” (“Security” on some devices)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select “Screen Lock Type” and you will be prompted to enter your current unlock method<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Create your swipe pattern or change your PIN as prompted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    To change the timeout setting and other lock settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to “Settings”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select “Display” (“Security” on some devices)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Select “Screen Timeout”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. You can change the timeout length.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
